Introducing the new TKI Carbon Fiber Ice Pole. This product is designed with durability and lightweight being top priority. The pole's length ranges from 36 inches to 64 inches when fully extended. A 72-inch pole is also available, with an extra charge, for those using ice houses and Snobears.
The extendable pole comes standard with a handle that is round shaped and plastic with an arrow indicator pointing to the transducer's direction. You may opt to upgrade by adding a folding handle to your order (Located in the open water section under Marine).
The aluminum folding handle can be shortened by removing the rubber grip, cutting the handle, and then reinstalling the grip.
The ice pole with a folding handle weighs 1lb 10 oz without a transducer.
The tripod is all aluminum construction with nylon bushings that TKI machines for easy and smooth operation.
The depth of the pole can be adjusted with 2 aluminum collars. The collars have O-rings in them for easy adjustment. Firmly grasp the collars and pull down or push up on the collar depending on whether you are lengthening your pole or shortening it. The collar will move then allowing you to move the tripod accordingly. The remaining collar can then be moved to keep the tripod in place.
There are two different transducer attachment options. The transducer fitting is the same for Lowrance and Garmin. The mount can be removed. There is an O-ring used to hold it firmly on the carbon fiber pole. The hummingbird transducer requires the use of a different mount due to the built-in mount on the transducer. An aluminum tube is attached to the bottom of the pole. If the customer decides to switch to a different brand of transducer, the tube is then removable. The new mount can be purchased separately.
The TKI Carbon Ice Pole allows for the cables of the transducer to be easily run through the center of the pole. However, in the case of Garmin models, the nut at the end of the transducer must be removed after threading the cables through the pole. Once the cables are securely connected, the split nuts provided by Garmin can be used to connect to the Garmin black box.
